Walks
The area around Ronda is a marvellous place to walk, with grades from easy to challenging, and many suitable for all fitness levels. Some of our favourite walks take in spectacular scenery, or pass by historical monuments, or if nature is what you want to see, will allow you to explore the flora and fauna of the district. The Ronda mountains are amongst the most popular in Spain for British walkers, and several companies have regularly scheduled walking holidays that spend a few days passing through.
Guides walks
If you are interested in bird watching you are here at the right spot. We work with some professional bird watching guides who will take you to beautiful and still not discovered places to look out for the most amazing birds we have here. Ronda itself sits spectacularly above steep cliffs on which Lesser Kestrels and Peregrine Falcons breed. By driving around through the nearby mountain ranges you should see numerous other raptors, including Bonelli’s Eagle, plus Black Wheatear, Rock Sparrow, Chough, Rock Bunting and, at least in winter, Alpine Accentor. Eagle Owl and White-rumped Swift are also possible.
